Life Cycle Illustration

Mrs. Hamlin and Mrs. Reed used a drawing program called KidPix to assess what their students had learned about life cycles in science. Students identified the various stages of the chicken life cycle, drew the illustration and labeled each stage appropriately. They were so proud of their creations and how much they had learned in science!

What Do Plants Need?

Kindergarten students are learning about organisms and their environments in science, focusing this week on plants. In the computer lab, each student created an illustration of a plant's needs such as air, water, nutrients, sunlight, and space. What a great way to assess what they have learned and build their confidence with computers.

Illustrating the Water Cycle

Second grade students identified the stages and illustrated the water cycle using a free paint program called TuxPaint. They enjoyed using the various drawing tools, colors, and fonts. Mrs. Johnson's students couldn't wait to share!
