Second Grade Research

Second grade students in Mrs. Head's TAG class have begun working on their animal research projects. Mrs. Jackson, demonstrated the World Book Kids Online tools to the students as a good place to start. She showed them how to search the database for the specific animal they were researching and pointed out how they could create their own World Book account so that they could save their information into their "My Research" folder for later use. This lesson focused on strategies for acquiring information and using interactive technology environments to manipulate information. Not to mention, the kids had fun!
