Novel Study Movies

Fifth grade students polished up their presentation skills as they worked in PowerPoint to create a slideshow summarizing the novel they have been reading most recently, Out of the Dust by Karen Hesse. Beginning with the basics and moving into some of the more advanced features of the presentation software, students learned how to share information in an exciting, intriguing way. With this foundational skill, students will be able to utilize some of the newer web 2.0 presentation tools available on the web.
